Show Me The Way Foundation, Inc., a non-profit 501(c) 3 charitable organization was formed in 2005 and has been providing programs that enhance the quality of life of children ever since. The foundation operates SHE Girls and HOLLA BACK Boys as two of its programs that are charting a course for developing educational and HIV/AIDS prevention programs that affect the lives of children and youth in our community.
RUNWAY RED is our charity fashion gala featuring pint–sized socialites, mini-me movers and shakers and their well-known celebrity parental escorts. As part of our ongoing fundraising program called CAMPAIGN RED, SMTWF transformed “making a difference” into a family affair by adding RUNWAY RED into this initiative as a way to create exposure and raise imperative funding for children infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. SMTWF, Inc. developed RUNWAY RED to shine a light on the epidemic that is impacting the lives of the most precious among us, our children. RUNWAY RED is as entertaining as it is informative and guests can enjoy learning about the sole purpose of CAMPAIGN RED while viewing exclusive winter and spring Back to School collections from high-end fashion designers from all over the world. Designers that have graced our stages include Jack & Jill, Sean John for Kids, Rock and Republic, Lil Miss Muffet, Burberry for Kids, Paige Denim, Tommy Hilfiger, and Bo Peep Kids.
Our RUNWAY RED Fashion Show has grown into a brand and a standard for youth fashion in Metro Atlanta. The first RUNWAY RED Fashion Gala was held July 16, 2006. A total of 600 celebrities, parents, and friends gathered at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre and watched as 100 sassy and savvy youths strutted down the RUNWAY to raise awareness for HIV/AID. August 11, 2012 marks the presentation of the 6th annual RUNWAY RED Fashion Gala Featuring Celebrity Kids.
Since its inception, Show Me the Way Foundation has organized the fashion show largely around the support of corporate sponsors. With over 1,000 expected participants to support the cause this year, many corporations and businesses will enjoy an excellent opportunity to reach a large, influential, diverse and visible community with a high disposable income level. This one-day event targets a market of the population that is only brought together in its entirety once each year. The total number of market impressions given throughout the event ranges into the thousands based upon print, television, and advertisements.
